I LIVED IN THE REALM OF MAGIC---faeries, unicorns and dragons were my friends—when I was a young child. In fact, my bedroom looked out toward Avalon. While not the Tor rising up out of the mists in Glastonbury, UK, my Avalon appeared twenty-six miles off the coast of Southern California when the marine fog lifted over Emerald Bay, revealing Catalina Island in the distance, Avalon its main harbor.
Our home was built into a hillside that backed up to thousands of acres of wild land, perfect for quests far outside the castle walls, and casting spells beneath canopies of giant jade plants. I dug for shimmering mica and quartz buried in golden clay. I talked to my animals (my first familiars); they talked back.

Eventually, horses replaced unicorns, our house was just a house, spells became poetry and song. Dragons no longer curled themselves beneath the deck.
Until I started remembering.

Remembering my MAGIC.​

As children, we have easier access to magic, the expansive space where imagination, intuition, and inspiration collide. It’s easier to embody this realm of all possibility and flow where trees can be purple, your pets talk, unicorns fill your room with prismatic light, and the ocean and moon lull you to sleep with their ancient tales. No one has yet told you that magic is just an illusion or worse, that it is a dangerous thing belonging to wicked witches (we’ll get back to witches in a bit).

The process of becoming an adult is often a process of losing magic, the narrowing and whittling down of possibility until you become something. Children are asked from a very young age ‘What do you want to be when you grow up?’ So, we begin to choose this over that--or parents, teachers, society, life circumstances chose for us.

And one day you wake up wanting to feel…more…more free. More alive. More vibrant. More love. MORE OF YOU.

You crave connection to the part of you that exists beyond familial and societal expectations, the part of you hiding beneath the scar tissue of loss, grief, and fear.
The part of you that instinctively understands in a deep knowing that you are meant to experience the expansiveness--and the mystery--of the universe expressed here on earth.

It showed me all the places where I was restricting myself, and opened space for intimacy, love, unapologetic self-expression, creativity, surrender & flow.
Reiki uncovered the light within, bringing me home to myself.
And it will help you do the same.

Reiki found me before I knew what it even was.
A horse named Mouse entered my life in 2014, opening my heart in ways I’d forgotten. I’d place my hands on him, feeling the radiance of his love connecting me back to my teenage heart horse, the purity of that bond. In these moments, Mouse’s eyes softened and closed, his head and neck lowered in deep relaxation, my breath slowed, my body let go of tension. I could sense the deep healing happening in both of us as we connected heart to heart. The light in me meeting the light in him.
That's the gift of Reiki, the gradual falling away of everything that is not your light. ​
So began my Reiki journey. Eventually, a few years later, a metaphysical shop opened up in our little historic village, a very unlikely location for such a store. But what before were dabblings in the magical , mystical & metaphysical, transformed into my calling, thanks to Imagine where I received my first Reiki training. It felt less like learning a new skill and more like remembering. And ever since, with each training and with each client with whom I work, the magic held in my blood and bones--in my spirit--expands.

I was a Creative before I was a mystic, but now I know they are one and the same.
CREATIVITY : THE ABILITY TO SHAPE INSPIRATION INTO FORM​ & ACTION
I’ve always been creative. The kind of creativity that spills everywhere. As I child I wrote poems before I could write, my mother lovingly took dictations. I sang Broadway tunes and put on plays for my parents' dinner parties. I painted, I drew, I crafted, and I glittered….everything. I followed the creative path through college and grad school, pursuing English lit, psychology, and creative writing. My love of poetry and music evolved into crafting songs and a career as a performing singer-songwriter. I channeled my love for making things into owning and running a floral & event design business for over twenty years. S0, I know a thing or five about the creative process.

But it was only until I started cultivating my intuition and deepening my Spiritual practices, including reiki and other energy work, that I discovered how intricately entwined creativity and spirituality are.​
​
I started working with an intuitive coach many years ago. In our first session, she led me into a deep state of relaxation through grounding, connecting me to Mother Earth. The more grounded I got, the more expansive the 'space' we were creating felt. Suddenly, I got very excited and said 'I know this place, it's where I go to write!! It's my creative connection.' Then I felt my father and grandfather step in from beyond the veil, sharing the same space where I tapped into my creative flow.

We are all creatives seeking the artful expression of our soul. So how do we live artful lives? By listening to and putting inspiration--aka Spirit--into action.

Through my work as a creative and intuitive reiki maser, I realized that in my sessions, I was identifying the places where were have blocked the expression of our light, of Spirit. So, whether you are an artist who makes art, or an artist of life, our work together is about restoring flow and opening up the path for your soul's expression, so you may experience the vibrancy of life here on earth.
